wayfarer from a distant land,

we bid thee welcome to our humble halls and beg thee come and taste the mead from the barrels of our cellars!

The place thou seeth is a tribute to J.R.R.Tolkien, whose deeds are sung in many a song and told in many a scroll, by a fellowship of ardent followers from the small land of Lithuania. Herein shalt thou find the main things to be told about the great Professor and his works: his glorious life, the tales born from under his quill and how these tales are brought into existence for people other than his own. The tongue is that of Lithuania; yet shouldst thou wish to speak to us, please leave a word in Svečių knyga (i.e. Guestbook) or inside the letterbox of the hosts. Friends we love and appreciate, and everyone is welcome in the great hall of our moots.

Mead, anyone?

Oh, and for those who are not used to lofty elvish styles...

This site is dedicated to J.R.R.Tolkien and was created by a group of tolkienists from Lithuania. The page contains FAQ, articles on Tolkien and his works and some information about the Great Labour some of us have undertaken: translating Tolkien into Lithuanian. Unfortunately the articles are in Lithuanian but if you want to contact us (oh yes, preciousss, we love foreign friends!), leave a comment in Svečių knyga (i.e. Guestbook), write an email or drop by to our messageboard.

May the light of Eärendil shine upon your path!
